The Pennsylvania 4-H Horse Program encourages learning about horsemanship and the responsible, ethical care and management of horses. Taking care of an animal is no small task, and members in a 4-H horse science project gain skills in responsibility, record-keeping, and hands-on learning. Working with a horse is a unique experience that helps young people feel connected and build confidence.
