Pennsylvania Cattle for Exhibtion:
201. No animal showing evidence of contagious, infectious, or external parasitic disease shall be allowed entrance into the show.
202. Vaccination requirement: All cattle must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) issued within 30 days prior to opening date of exhibition, signed by an accredited veterinarian, that includes a statement that the animal(s) identified have been immunized against IBR, PI3, BRSV and BVD. Animals that have never been vaccinated against BVD or have not been vaccinated against BVD in the previous 12 months must receive one dose of modified live virus vaccine given at least 15 days and not more than 180 days before the show. Animals that have been vaccinated against BVD within the previous 12 months must receive at least a single injection of modified live virus or killed vaccine given not less than 15 days and not more than 180 days before the show. The date of the live virus vaccination OR the dates of the last two killed virus vaccinations must be recorded on the health chart. It is suggested that the veterinarian include his/her phone number on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Hyperimmune serum may not be used as a substitue fo the above vaccination requirement. Animals will not be admitted to the show unless these requirements are met.
Tuberculosis and brucellosis requirements:
1. No tuberculosis test is required.
2. No brucellosis test is required.
203. Individual official animal identification is required. Offical ID includes a tattoo, a USDA issued metal ear tag or a Radio Frequncy Identification tag.
204.
All drug and vaccine label directions should be followed, including but not limited to milk and slaughter withdrawal periods, and the final dose of vaccine must be administered at least 15 days prior to entry into the exhibtion.
205. Vaccination against rabies is recommended.
OUT-OF-STATE CATTLE In addition to the above requirements:
207. Brucellosis: 1)No brucellosis test is required if the animal origniates from a Brucellosis free state. 2)No brucellosis test is required if the animal originates from a Certified Brucellosis-free herd. The certified herd number and date of most recent test must be included on the CVI. 3) If an animal is coming from a Class A, B, or C state and is not from a Certified Brucellosis-free herd, call the Department for testing requirements.
208. Tuberculosis: 1) No tuberculosis test is required if the animal is coming from an Accredited Tuberculosis-free herd. The accredited herd number and date of most recent test must be included on the CVI. 2) If the animal is coming from a herd which is not an Accredited Tuberculosis-free herd, even if the herd is in a Tuberculosis-free state, animals 15 months of age and older must be tuberculin test negative within 30 days of the opening date of the exhibtion. The date of the most recent test must be included on the CVI.

GOATS |
301. All goats to be exhibited must be identified with official USDA scrapie identification.Goats having a registration tattoo and a scrapie premise ID with a registration certificate are exempt from this requirement.
302. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhbition is required. Contact USDA to obtain scrapie cartags at 866-873-2824, weekdays from 8AM to 4:30PM. Your order may take several weeks for processing, so order tags early.
303. Vaccination against Rabies is reommended.
304. All drug and vaccine label directions must be followed, including but not limited to milk and slaughter withdrawal periods. The vaccine must be administered at least 15 days prior to entry into the exhibiton. |

EQUINE |
| PENNSYLVANIA EQUINE:
401. It is required that all equine animals have been tested negative for EIA by an official test within the 12 months prior to the opening date of the exhibition, unless otherwise specified in respective departments. A copy of the official test results must accompany each animal to its final destination. Foals less than 6 months of age accompanied by a dam which meets the above requirements are exempt from EIA testing requirements.
402. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhibiton is recommended.
403. Vaccinations against the following diseases are recommended, unless otherwise specified in respective departments: 1)Rabies, 2)Equine influenza, 3)EHV, and 4)Eastern, Western, and Venezuelan Equine Encephalomyelitis. Rabies vaccination is required for 4-H member project horses.
404. All vaccine label directions must be followed, and the final dose of vaccine must be administered at least 15 days prior to entry into the exhibition.
OUT OF STATE EQUINE:
405. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection required within the 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition is required. EIA test results and date of the test must be included on the CVI.
406. All equine animals must have tested negative for EIA by an official test within the 12 months prior to the opening date of the exhibition. SWINE |
501. Individual animal ID is required. ID options include the following: a) A form of official ID (herd tattoo in combination with an ear notch; or a state issued metal ear tag; or a Radio Frequency Identification tag); OR b) A plastic stamped ear tag.
502. A negative pseudorabies test within 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition.
503. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. |

SHEEP |
Pennsylvania and Out of State Sheep:
601. All sheep to be exhibited must be identified with official USDA scrapie identification. Sheep from flocks on the Scrapie Flock Certification Progam must bear an offical eartag, tattoo, electronic eartag, or electronic implant device (the exhbitor must supply a reader).
602. Contact the USDA to obtain scrapie eartags at 717-782-3442, weekdays from 8AM to 5PM. Your order may take several weeks for processing, so order tags early.
603. A certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition is required, it must include the following: 1) A statement that the flock of origin was inspected and found free from symptoms of infectious or contagious disease, 2) A statement that this flock has had no known exposure to or history of scrapie.
604. Vaccination against Rabies is recommended.
605. All drug and vaccine label directions must be followed, including but not limited to milk and slaughter withdrawal periods. The last dose of vaccine must be administered at least 15 days prior to entry into the exhibition.

POULTRY
|
PENNSYLVANIA POULTRY
701. All poultry entering an exhibition must bear a unique individual identification leg band (official PA issued leg bands are not required).
702. An owner-endorsed health certificate must accompany all Pennsylvania poultry and must include the following:
1) Name and location of exhibition
2) Name, address, and telephone number of the owner
3) A statement that their entries and their flock of origin are free of evidence of contagious diseases
4) Owner signature and date of that signature
5) Verification of testing for AI and Pullorum
703. Avian Influenza Clean Testing and Verification:
All poultry for exhibiton must originate from a flock in good standing in the Pennsylvania Avian Influenza Monitored Flock Program, the NPIP U.S. AI Clean program, or the NPIP AIl Monitored Program OR
11 birds from the flock must have had a negative official test within the 12 months prior to the opening date of the exhibition.
704. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean Testing and Verification:
All poultry must come from NPIP U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean flocks; OR Individual birds for exhibition must have had a negative pullorum-typhoid test within the 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. The following age restrictions apply to comply with NPIP standards: Chickens shall be tested at 4 months of age or older. All birds not meeting these age restrictions must come from a flock in which all of the birds in the flock have been test negative within the 90 days prior to the exhibition. Verification of NPIP U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean flock status or a current offical test status form must accompany all poulty.
705. Recommendations to Reduce the Risk of Disease:
Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT) Vaccination:
All chickens for exhibition must be from flocks vaccinated against infectious laryngotracheitis no more than one (1) year and no less than thirty (30) days before opening day of the show. The vaccine used must be one approved by the Department and must be administered in full accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

RABBITS |
801. Rabbits will be screened on arrival for health and show condition. No rabbits showing signs of contagious or infectious disease will be admitted to the show.
802. Department superintendents have the final judgment in resolving any dispute.
803. Out of State Rabbits: A certificate of Veterninary Inspection issued within 30 days prior to the opening date of the exhbition is required. |
