SECTION 15A
HOME BAKED PRODUCTS

Baked goods will be received Monday, July 21, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. after being registered in the Junior 4-H Building.


SPECIAL RULES:
1. Fresh bake goods will be sold at 4-H Auction unless specified otherwise. A portion will remain for display. Proceeds will go for the 4-H Bldg. Fund.
2. No baked goods needing refrigeration accepted.
3. Please bring breads & rolls in plastic bags.
4. Each class in Section 15A will be judged for a BEST OF SHOW, winner will receive a Rosette and $10.
5. All baking participants will received a Red Star Yeast coupon.
6. All baking entries using yeast in Class 1 Bread and Class 2 Rolls will be entered in a Red Star Drawing.

COOKIE, BROWNIE OR BAR BAKING CONTEST

RULES
1
. Exhibitor must be an individual (age 8 through and including 18 years ONLY) who is a Pennsylvania resident; one enyty per person..
2. Entry must be a plate of six (6) cookies, brownies or bars made from "scratch" (no mixes)..
3. A minium of 1/4 cup of Hershey's Baking Chips(any variety) must be used and listed as "Hershey's" and name the specific chip variety in the cookie/brownie/bar recipe.
4. If chocolate frosting or chocolate drizzle is used, Hershey's Cocoa must be used and listed as "Hershey's Cocoa" in the frosting/drizzle recipe.
5. No Competitor's candy, chocolate, flavored baking chips or peanut products may be used. .
6. Entry must be submitted for judging on a doily-covered cardboard or a disposable plate..
7.. Recipes(s) must be submitted with the entry printed on one-side of 8 1/2 X 11" paper. Recipe must list all ingredients, quantities, and the preparation instructions. Entrant's name, address and phone number must be printed on the back side of all the pages.
8. Refrigeration is not available at the Fair or the PA Farm Show. Entries that require refrigeration after baking must indicate so in the recip. Those entries will not be sold, auctioned or otherwise distributed for consumption after judging for food safety reasons.
8. Judging will be based on the following criteria:

....Overall Appearance ----------------------- 20 points
....Consistency (Size and Shape---------------15 points
....Creativity ----------------------------------10 points
....TOTAL-----------------------------------100 points

First Place Winner is eligilbe for the 2008 PA Farm Show competition.
Prizes for the PA State Hershey Baking Chips Cookie/Brownie/Bar Winner:
