RABBITS

THERE IS A SPECIAL ENTRY FORM FOR THE RABBIT SHOW

You can pick up an entry form at the the Fair Office, or get it off the Fair Website.

SPECIAL RULES:
1. The rabit show is only open to 4-H and FFA members..
2. There is a separate entry form for the rabbits. You can pick one up at the Fair Office, get it off the website or call Tonya Dibert 652-5393. You must also complete the livestock entry form in the Fair Premium Book.
3. All rabbits must be on the Fair grounds by the Saturday before the show by 8:00 PM. Checki-ins will be from 10AM to 6 PM on Saturday. All animals entered must be of good health and will be inspected upon arrival. The Superintendent or a Committe Member must check in all animals before placing them into a cage. Any animal showing signs of a contagious disease must be removed from the Fair grounds and will be barred from the show.
4. Does that kindle at the Fair will be sent home. Please mange your breeding schedule to prevent this.
5. All cages must be cleaned at least every other day by 10:30 AM. All pens must be cleaned out at the end of the Fair week. Manure and bedding must be bagged and placed in the designated area. Aisles are to be clean and clear at all times.
6. Space is limited in the barn. If possible, please take all carriers home.
7. Exhibitors must provide thier own shavings. All pens must be kept clean. If your cage is not kept clean, you will be barred from showing the following year. Somone on the committe will clean your cage for a $5.00 donation per cage for the week.
8. No exhibitor may enter more than 10 rabbits.
9. All animals must have a legible ear tattoo in the left ear. If no tattoo is present a number will be assigned and placed in the ear with a permanent marker.
10. Rabbits will be judged according to the latest Standards of Perfection as per the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Mixed Breeds will be judged separately from the purebred rabbits. Mixed Breeds rabbits will be judged as a commercial rabbit.
11. Exhibitos are responsible to have their animals to the judging table for the proper class.
12. No animals are allowed to leave the Fair grounds prior to Saturday 2:00 PM.
13. NO SALES! No selling rabbits in the rabbit barn.
14. All rabbits must be shown by a 4-H or FFA member.
15. Exhibitors must provide water and food containers.
16. Exhibitors may not enter more than 1 animal per class and no enter more than 1 rabbit in the mixed breed division.
17. Substitutions can be made only in the same breed. Substitutions can be made at check-in until 6 PM .
18. Rabbits must be listed as a 4-H or FFA project before May 1st.
19. If 5 or less rabbits are exhibited in a breed, no BOV or BOSV will be awarded. They will be shown as Senior and Junior classes only.

RABBIT SHOWMANSHIP
MONDAY - 10:00 AM

SPECIAL RULES:
1. Everyone participating in showmanship will receive $4.
2. 4-H & FFA members must be showing in the Rabbit Show to qualify to show in Showmanship classes.
3. Exhibitor must show a rabbit that was carried as one of the projects for the year.
4. Rabbit must be clean and toenails clipped.
5. Showmanship will be ran in conjunction with the rabbit show on Monday.

SECTION A21C
PHOTO CONTEST - RABBIT & CAVY
SUNDAY 4:00 PM

SPECIAL RULES:
1. This is only open to exhibitors that carry a rabbit as the 4-H or FFA project this year.
2. This is a way to display your creative skills with a camera.
3. Pictures must be in color. No black and white photos accepted.
4. All photos must be placed in a picture frame with glass.
5. Stickers will be provided to place your name, age and club information on the back in the lower right hand corner. Do not place your name on the front anywhere.
6. Your picture cannot be larger than 5" x 7".
7. Only one entry per exhibitor.
8. All entries must be submitted to the Rabbit Superintendent by 12:00 PM on Sunday at the rabbit barn.
9. All photos will be judged at 4:00 PM on Sunday.

POSTER CONTEST - RABBIT & CAVY
SUNDAY 4:00 PM

SPECIAL RULES:
1. This is only open to exhibitors that carry a rabbit as the 4-H or FFA project this year.
2. This will be a visual display of Rabbit Knowledge.
3. These will be judged on neatness, overall presentation and information.
4. You must place your name, age and club information on the back in the lower right hand corner. Do not place your name on the front anywhere.
5. The size will be limited to 22" x 28" (the standard poster board size).
6. Only one entry per exhibitor.
7. All entries must be submitted to the Rabbit Superintendent by 12:00 PM on Sunday at the rabbit barn.
9. All posters will be judged at 4:00 PM on Sunday.

1. Open to all 4-H and FFA Members
2. Limit to 4 cavies per Exhibitors (2 per pen) Cavy show will follow the rabbit show.
3. All Cavies must be on the Fair grounds by the Saturday 6:00 PM. Check-ins will be from 9AM to 6 PM on Saturday. All animals entered must be of good health and will be inspected upon arrival. The Superintendent or a Committee Member must check in all animals before placing them into a cage. Any animal showing signs of a contagious disease must be removed from the Fair grounds and will be barred from the show.
4. Cavies must be listed as a 4-H or FFA project before May 1.
5. All animals must have a legible ear tag in the left ear. If no tag is present a number will be assigned and placed in the ear with a permanent marker.
6. All cages must be cleaned at least every other day by 10:30 AM. All pens must be cleaned out at the end of the Fair week. Manure and bedding must be bagged and placed by horse barns. Aisles are to be clean and clear at all times.
7. Cavies will be judged according to the latest Standards of Perfection as per the
American Rabbit Cavy Breeders Association.
8. Exhibitors are responsible to have their animals to the judging table for the proper class.
9. No animals are allowed to leave the Fair grounds prior to Saturday 2:00 PM.
10. Rabbit rules will apply to cavies. Cavy Exhibitors must abide by all general rules for
housing that the rabbit exhibitors observe.
11. You must bring your own feed dishes and water bottles.
12. There is a separate entry form for the Cavies. You can pick one up at the Fair Office,
get it off the website or call Tonya Dibert 652-5393 or Tammy Reyan 735-2808. You
must also complete the livestock entry form in the Fair Premium Book

BREED CLASSES:
1. BREED CLASS
- Mixed breeds are not allowed except in Pet Class. Recognized breeds are as follows: Abyssinian, Abyssinian Satin, American, American Satin, Coronet, Peruvian. Peruvian Satin, Silkie, Silkie Satin, Teddy, Teddy Satin, Texel , & White Crested.
If not sure what breed you have, obtain a cavy breeds and variety list from your county 4-H extension office to properly fill out your entry or call the show chair person or visit www.arba.net.
Cavies to be entered as follows:
A. Junior Boars or Sows - 12oz to 22oz
B. Intermediate Boars or Sows - 23oz to 32oz
C. Senior Boars or Sows - over 32oz
